Directions to American Legion Post #186 (Possible Alternate Meeting Site)

The USSVI USS Virginia Base monthly meetings were previously held at American legion Post 186 in Midlothian, Virginia, but a change of venue was voted on at the December 4, 2003 meeting moving us to the Piccadilly Cafeteria on West Broad. The directions on this page below are to American Legion Post #186 and are being left on our web site just in case we should happen to schedule an event there sometime in the future.

The following directions are from Base Commander Jack Winn:

Any one coming from East, West or North all follow the same Directions.

1. Turn South on I-195 Powhite Pkwy.
2. Follow I-195 to Grove Ave/Cary St Exit.
3. Go to second street after exit up the hill to the traffic light.
4. Turn right on Cary Street at the light Follow Cary street for about three miles staying to the left.
5. Cary Street will change names to River Road and at the bottom of the hill will change to Huguenot Pkwy.
6. Follow Huguenot Pkwy across James River through ten traffic lights.
7. Turn right on Alversear Street (look for Circuit City on the left, Service Merchandise on right.)
8. Take Alversear to Midlothian Pkwy
9. Turn right on Midlothian Pkwy and go through nine lights to Otterdale Road
10. Turn left at Otterdale Road 1.5 miles.
11. The Legion Post will be on the left.
12. Take the second drive way and park in back of the building.

Going North on 1-95

1. Exit at 288 (exit no. 62) to the left
2. Stay on 288 to Courthouse Road
3. Go right on Courthouse Road Go to Midlothian Pkwy
4. Turn Left on Midlothian Pkwy
5. Go through nine lights to Otterdale Road
6. Turn left on Otterdale Road 1.5 miles.
7. The Legion Post will be on the left.

8. Take the second drive way and park in back of the building.
